SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS: 

Mundy Township Residents

New Business hours effective: March 1, 2010 Effective on March 1, 2010 the Charter Township of Mundy Administrative Office business hours will be changing. In an effort to conserve energy, The Mundy Township Board of Trustees have forged an agreement with AFSCME Local 1918.02 to modify the work schedule to accommodate a ten (10) hour four (4) day work schedule. This trial work schedule will go into effect on March 1, 2010 and continue through the end of the calendar year. At the end of the year the board will examine the energy savings and ascertain if it merits a permanent agreement. The theory is the Township would save energy costs by extending office hours during the week and closing the facility after business hours on Thursday for the weekend. By lowering the thermostat and closing down all electronics in the building the Township should save a number of tax payers' dollars. The Township Board will review the numbers at the end of the year and if this process does not yield the expected savings we will return to the previous schedule.

Therefore as of March 1, 2010 the regular office hours will be as follows:     Monday - 8:00 am until 7:00 pm.      Tuesday - Thursday - 8:00 am until 6:00 pm
