Payment Information

• Payments are currently accepted by cash, check or money order for taxes, sewer and water.  Seperate checks must be submitted for tax and sewer/water.   Payments for these departments should not be added together.  For your benefit, please put your account information (Parcel ID# or account number) on the "memo" line of your check.

• It is your responsibility as a property owner to inform us if you have not received a tax bill or sewer/water bill. Penalties will not be waived, if late payments are assessed, due to non-receipt of a bill.

• A drop box is available on the front drive of the Township Offices, for your convenience. Please make cash payments during regular business hours. We are not responsible for cash payments left in the drop box.

• Summer Taxes are due by September 14, 2011

• Winter Taxes are due by February 28, 2012

Penalties 

• Summer Taxes, due September 14, 2011, interest will be assessed at 1% (one percent) for each month or portion of month tax is late.
• As of September 14, 2010 postmarks will no longer be accepted.  Payments will be posted for the date they are received in our office or at the Lock box location.  Please plan accordingly for this change.

• As of March 1st, Winter taxes, due by February 28, 2012 and Summer taxes (now due with 6% interest added) will be further assessed 1% (one percent) interest each month plus 4% (four percent) penalty.

• All delinquent Qualified and Personal property taxes will be payable at the Township level with interest and penalty.

  All delinquent Real Estate taxes are payable to Genesee County Treasurer. (Link provided will take you out of The Charter Township of Mundy website.)
