If you sell your home, a final bill should be ordered and the account is simply transferred to the new owner. New homeowners should always verify that name changes and final bills have been attended to. Please contact our Sewer and Water Department, at 810-655-4631, ext. 222, to complete this transfer.
Residents that have a secondary meter water supply to irrigate lawns and gardens, have billings suspended Nov. 1st to April 30th and will resume automatically on May 1st to Oct. 31st every year, unless the property owner requests in writing to not have such rates apply. Please contact the water/sewer department for the Sprinkler Account Request Form. This request must be turned in by April 1st every year. The meters will continue to be read during this period of time and if there is usage, a bill will be sent.
Mundy Township operates on the billing cycles that are explained further in the Water and Sewer Department FAQ's section. It is the responsibility of the residents to contact our Water and Sewer Department, at 810-655-4631, ext. 222, if the quarterly billings are not received. There is a 2% penalty for all late payments or if the amount paid is less then the amount owed. If you will be out of town on the due dates, you can prepay your month(s) quarterly amount due and avoid the penalty.
